For one of my final college assignments, I researched how young people respond to colors after surgical anesthesia wears off. Using colors proven to reduce anxiety, I created a pattern out of collaged X-rays of my face from over the years. My concept is for this pattern to be used on the scrubs worn by medical professionals working with children going into major surgeries under anesthesia to create a more comforting environment to come back into consciousness in. You can read more about it under the “Stitched Together With A Smile” tab in my portfolio.

MADE IN MAINE CANDLES-

I designed these candles for a package design assignment for my Illustration Type and Image class. My concept for this project was to create a line of take home tea light candles for an inn in Maine. The idea being that each nightstand would have a tea light candle with an iconic Maine scent for visitors to light during their stay to create homey ambiance, but also to take home and remember their visit fondly. I created the labels for the candles by watercoloring the background design and I created a linocut print for the label. I scanned all of this work and finalized it in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
